About Geneviève Caron

There are certain things one should know about Geneviève. Her name is pronounced the French way, ZHAWN-vee-EHV. And when you meet her, she will likely give you a kiss on both cheeks. This is but a small glimpse into the stylish and sophisticated sensibility she brings to each of her assignments.

Born and raised in Quebec, Canada, it is no wonder Geneviève has a certain joie de vivre. She graduated Laval University, and worked for several years as a graphic designer in Montreal. Like any self-respecting French woman, it was love that inspired her to move to Toronto – love for her husband Andric, and the love for photography.

Geneviève’s distinctive portfolio captures an idealized, beautified reality where the essence of a subject is effortlessly revealed. Each image she captures reflects her trademarks of minimalism, lightness and restraint. It is these character traits that have led her to win numerous North American photography awards, including first prize at the Canadian Lux contest in 2006, 2008, 2009 and 2013, first prize at the US APA National photo competition in the fine art category in 2009, and a prize at the US PDN Pix Digital Contest in 2009.

Her ability to encapsulate the grace of an image has gained the attention of some of the largest household brands. These include Bell Canada, BMO, Coca Cola, Colgate, Dove, Jergens, Johnson & Johnson, Nivea, Sony, Target and TD Bank.  Beyond her commercial work, Geneviève’s editorials regularly appear in Canadian publications such as Chatelaine, enRoute, Glow, Canadian Family, Canadian Living, Rouge magazine and Report on Business.
